Nirvaha 2012 successfully held at Piravom

The program – the first initiative of Yuvajana Vibhagam State Committee, Kerala Brahmana Sabha and an orientation for the wing was held at Chinmaya International Foundation (the abode of Adi Sankara) near Peppathy, Piravom in Ernakulam district. The program was held on the dates of February 11th and 12th. 33 members inclusive of 5 female members,  representing various districts in the state participated in the program. The participants left off to the venue from Ernakulam on February 11th. The program aimed at  knowing the parent organization Kerala Brahmana Sabha better was inaugurated by Dr. P S Raman (State Vice President, Kerala Brahmana Sabha). The inaugural ceremony was presided by Kerala Brahmana Sabha Yuvajana Vibhagam State President Sri. Kiran C G. In his presidential address, Sri. Kiran mentioned that this is a starting step for members of Yuvajana Vibhagam  to learn more and work better in the organization towards the betterment of the brahmin community. In his inaugural address Sri. P S Raman mentioned that the organization in its future part is in the hands of Yuvajana Vibhagam and the participants must use the experience and expertise of the resource faculties, seek advices, clarify doubts and learn the structure of Kerala Brahmana Sabha. State General Secretary graced the occasion with his presence and in his address mentioned that it was indeed a nice inititiative for the wing. Sri. G Mony (District President, Alapuzha KBS) handled the ice breaker session where the participants got to know about each other. All were grouped into 5 different teams – Ganga, Yamuna, Kaveri, Brahmaputra and Saraswathi. This was a point where strangers became friends and also members of one great family Kerala Brahmana Sabha. Sri. D Moorthy (District Secretary, Trichur KBS) gave an overview of Kerala Brahmana Sabha, its history down the past and the need of such a established organization in the community. Post the session, the participants raised their view and ideas for a better working in the organization. Sri. Suresh R (State Joint Secretary) handled the session Samvadham. The members were also taken through a brief presentation on the Yuvajana Vibhagam website www.yuvakbs.com by Website Incharge Sri. Ramaswamy V.Post day 1, on day 2 the participants attended a session about the foundation and also took a small tour guided by the staff of Chinmaya International Foundation post which they attended a session on Guidelines – its usage by Sri. G Mony. There were various points discussed in the same and the participants got to clarify their doubts on the same. Senior member and State Joint Secretary Sri. N R Parameswaran took the participants through the Protocol system prevailent in the organization and the 45 minute session was worth attending. Sri. Ramanathan H (Senior members and District President Kottayam KBS) then handled a session through the Byelaws of Kerala Brahmana Sabha. This was the active session in the program where the participants got to know what the organization is and what they are working for. Sri. Mohandas S (State Joint Secretary) then handled a session on Election procedures post. The highlight of the program was  the session handled by Sri. T S Vishwanatha Iyer where he mentioned how an individual can work not just in the social circle but also with the established organization. All participants actively participated in the sessions and discussions and a strong bond of relationship flowed through the tenure of the program. It was indeed a place where people from different fields, generation met under a single umbrella with an aim to know learn and study about Kerala Brahmana Sabha. Sri. Kartik S H (Trivandrum) and Kum. Seethalakshmi S H (Kollam) were identified as the ‘Champ of the Camp’ in male and female categories respectively. The participants and the resource faculties were given certificates and mementos respectively. In the valedictory ceremony Dr. P S Raman proclaimed that the future of Kerala Brahmana Sabha is safe in the hands of Yuvajana Vibhagam for the next 50 years and added that the program was well crafted to suit the needs of a new comer to the organization. He also congratulated Yuvajana Vibhagam for their participation, hardwork and dedication put forth towards the success of Nirvaha 2012. Seniors from the state committee were also present during the sessions. Yuvajana Vibhagam State Secretary Sri. Ramkumar K B proposed the official vote of thanks.Representing Calicut, the following participants were present during the program and all rendered the active participation in the same - Sri. Kiran C G (State President, Yuvajana Vibhagam KBS), Sri. Ramkumar K B (State Secretary, Yuvajana Vibhagam KBS), Sri. Arun Kumar A S (State Treasurer, Yuvajana Vibhagam KBS and District President, Yuvajana Vibhagam Kozhikode KBS), Sri. Sooraj S (District Secretary, Yuvajana Vibhagam Kozhikode KBS), Kum. Kavitha G Krishnan (District Treasurer Yuvajana Vibhagam Kozhikode KBS) and Sri. Rajesh P K (State Yuvajana Vibhagam executive committee member and Vice President, Yuvajana Vibhagam Kozhikode KBS).
